Upcycled Caps with Bernot.caps
Alongside an ever-increasing use of recycled materials, a new platform for buying and selling used products, plus ongoing work with organisations through 1% for the Planet ; the company now launches a batch of upcycled caps cut from excess products and fabrics.
This is a new exploration for the Café design team, giving new life to unused fabrics and products, the first batch using old jerseys and bib shorts from the SS22 range. There are three cap styles : Janina cut from Laureline Red Panther, a gravel style jersey ; Aldona in Check from Atelier bib shorts, and Regina in Clay, cut from Lara Jersey fabric.
Each cap is handmade in the Bernot Caps workshop in Lithuania and the construction makes maximum use of all the components of the products, as well as the main fabric. On each cap you will find fasteners, webbing and details from the original designs, repurposed in this unique way.
Anchored on the côte d'azur, café du cycliste is a french label dedicated to sharing a passion for cycling and the outdoors. Our technical and lifestyle products are predominantly made in Europe, using recycled and sustainable materials wherever possible. Each piece is designed to go further, move faster, and explore more. What began back in 2009 as a simple idea to do things differently has become a community of like-minded people who share the same values, beliefs, and a desire to be #foreveroutsiders.
