From day dot and the first garment produced, Café du Cycliste established a unique style but this was only ever half of the story. By developing from scratch rather than buying off the shelf, technical innovation has been at the heart of the brand’s apparel from that very first piece. The process has always started with function and been followed by form.
The latest result of this design philosophy is a new rain jacket, Suzette. Fully waterproof, exceptionally breathable, easily packable and immediately recognisable.
In technical garment design, water resistance and breathability are two competing forces – striking the perfect balance the holy grail. Using the very latest in lamination technology, Suzette features a three-layer construction with a wafer-thin membrane that delivers on protection, performance and weight.
The jacket has taped seams, a waterproof zip, a wrist construction specifically designed to prevent leaks and a ripstop exterior treated with DWR. The complex pattern cutting, especially around the shoulders allows for a comfortable and ergonomic fit on the bike without sacrificing performance.
The result is 20K water resistance rating matched with a 20K breathability rating. Fully waterproof. Completely windproof. Exceptionally breathable. All in a jersey pocket.
Suzette will be available from Nice, London, and Mallorca stores as well as on www.cafeducycliste.com from the Thursday 29th of January.
