Café du Cycliste to open Paris boutique in June, with design by A.S.L.

Even from our home on the Côte d'Azur, the allure of our capital city burns bright, and Café du Cycliste is pleased to announce its first permanent store in Paris.

The two-storey retail space will open its doors at 15 Rue St-Fiacre, in the 2nd arrondissement, this June, bringing our Forever Outsiders spirit to the heart of Sentier, a traditional garment district that still retains links with the fashion industry.

A.S.L., Café du Cycliste’s Paris-based interior-design-studio partner, has overseen the building’s transformation from an early-twentieth-century industrial relic to retail and community hub.

As with our other spaces, the new Parisian store pays tribute to this local heritage and vernacular while also applying our distinct retail aesthetic. The interior colour scheme will nod to the former industrial purpose of the area, and the space will feature vintage industrial storage alongside new units used across Café du Cycliste’s four boutiques. Wall displays, meanwhile, will highlight our premium European textile partners and also celebrate how manufacturing our high-end cycling apparel, with its focus on materials and attention to detail, remains a hand-crafted and artisanal pursuit.

On the light-filled ground floor, visitors will find a coffee bar, bike parking and a selection of men’s and women’s garments and accessories. The range display concludes in the basement alongside a customisation studio, where customers will be able to create uniquely styled pieces. Total retail space is 200m2. An additional lower-basement floor provides behind-the-scenes space and further bike parking.

This is Café du Cycliste’s fourth store in a cycling hotspot after our flagship boutique on Nice port, Palma (Mallorca) and Bédoin (Mont Ventoux/Provence), which opened in 2024 and was also designed by A.S.L.

Paris soft launch and opening party dates to follow.

Said Rémi Clermont, Café du Cycliste co-founder and creative director: “

Paris is now one of Europe’s best cycling cities. And not just because of the annual visit of the Tour de France and the recent Olympic road race triumph: cycling is now officially more popular than driving for everyday journeys around town. It was only a matter of time before we made the trip from the Mediterranean to the capital, and we’ve found the perfect space. Thanks to A.S.L. we now have a home away from home in Paris’s historic garment district, to serve as a hub for all of Paris’s cyclists. Rémi Clermont

Said Antoine Ricardou, co-founder at A.S.L.:

In our work, we try to craft a narrative for the space, creating a fusion between the brand and what the building and the environment are telling us – all with a focus on hospitality. In this case, we’ve combined Café du Cycliste’s Côte d’Azur DNA with early-twentieth-century Parisian industrial architecture and the heritage of the Sentier garment district. Our philosophy is always that form follows function, and we wanted to make this an efficient and welcoming retail space. When the shop is empty, the architectural design quality is evident, but when the collection is on the shelves, it is the clothing that is the star of the show. Antoine Ricardou
